随着科学技术的飞速发展，社会生活的不断变化，人们需要终生学习。语文是各门学科的基础和参与社会 生活的重要工具。语文教育领域应由传统的“知识殿堂”角色转变为终生学习者的“苗圃”。为此应构建新 的语文教育体系，以利于终生学习，促进人的持续发展。而只有实现持续发展，教育才是有成效的。
With the rapid development of science and technology and the constant changes of social life, people need lifelong learning. Language is the foundation of all disciplines and an important tool for participating in social life. The field of Chinese education should be changed from the traditional “temple of knowledge” to the “nursery” of lifelong learners. To this end, a new language education system should be constructed to facilitate lifelong learning and promote the sustainable development of people. Only by achieving sustainable development can education be effective.
