  经过一段时间的努力,Hillary和Davy的新居终于焕然一新了!虽然辛苦,但是看着自己的劳动成果,他俩心里都有说不出的喜悦。

Hillary: A little adjustment here and…pass me that lamp babe.
  Davy: There ya go.
Hillary: Cheers. Should it go to the left or the right of the couch?
Davy: The left, away from the window.
Hillary: You’re a thinker. Alright, I think that does it.
Davy: What, really? That was the last thing?
Hillary: ①No word of a lie, that’s the whole 1)shebang!
Davy: I can’t believe we did it.
Hillary: Join the team. I never thought we’d make it through tearing up the 2)carpets.
Davy: Oh man, I know. But look at the floors now—it was totally worth it.
Hillary: And that 3)knit 4)rug is beautiful. Remind me to thank your mom for it.
Davy: We’ll have to take our parents out for dinner or something. They were really the 5)backbone of this whole operation.
Hillary: I’m so surprised by how knowledgeable they were about everything. My dad must have been so tired of seeing my name on his call display.
Davy: Nah, they loved it. Hey, here’s a thought: Why don’t we make them dinner here? You know, an unveiling of the living room with dinner to boot.
Hillary: I knew I married you for a reason.
Davy: You mean it wasn’t because of my 6)stunning good looks?
Hillary: Haha, OK, well that too, but it was mostly because ②you really keep me grounded. I know the DIY was my idea, but there’s no way I could have made it through without you.
Davy: Well I would have never come up with such a daring plot, so I’ve got you to thank too.
Hillary: Now I think we deserve a nice cup of tea and some 7)R&R in our new space. What do you think?
Davy: I think I married you because you keep coming up with such great ideas. I’ll get the tea.
