Recently, a large number of domestic and foreign media reported on China’s introduction of 30 “poisonous spiders” Class III missile boats from Russia. This article is not to confirm whether the news is true or not, but to tell the reader what the hell is the poisonous Spider-class missile boat and what impact it may have on our navy. “Poisonous Spider” class missile boat is a large-scale coastal missile boat developed by the former Soviet Union / Russia in the late 1970s. As the only global navy outside the United States, the former Soviet Union attaches great importance to the research and development of such small warships as missile-warships while developing various types of large and medium-sized surface warships. It also considers it an indispensable part of the Navy’s overall combat power. As a result, as early as the 1950s, hundreds of missile boat equipment of various types and performances have been developed and used. Except for a large amount of equipment in the country, it has exported nearly one hundred ships to other countries in the world. At present, the Russian Navy should have more than 30 vessels in service and export more than 20 vessels. It has become the main vessel that succeeded in exporting the “Hornet” class missile boats.
