In recent years, with the deepening of awareness of apoptosis, medical and research workers are increasingly concerned about the connection between apoptosis and disease, and have carried out a series of tests for this. It is clear that apoptosis is necessary for the normal growth and development of the human body, but its imbalance is also closely related to the occurrence of many diseases. Excessive apoptosis of spermatogenic cells may be one of the important causes of male infertility. However, caspases are the common pathway of apoptosis and play a key role in apoptosis. Therefore, the regulation of caspases activity may provide new diagnostic criteria and treatment for male infertility.
