教材分析
本单元讲述了一个有关Jenny,Danny和 Li Ming 的故事。从本单元开始,Li Ming 来到加拿大学习英语,他和 Jenny 一家住在一起,并接触了加拿大的学校教育、民族风情以及饮食文化。同时,他也给 Jenny 一家讲述了中国文化。
在本课中,Li Ming 到达加拿大后,和 Jenny 一起认识了一些有关普通家庭用品。
一、教学目标
1.语言知识:
(1)掌握(能正确地听、说、读、写)下列词汇: bathtub, shower, toilet, mine and yours.
(2)掌握相关短语: “wash our hands” “wash our face” “dry our face” “comb our face” “brush our hair” “take a shower” and “take a bath”, 要求学生能听懂、会说这些短语。
2.语言技能:教师通过展示图片、图像、手势,使学生能够听懂,会说简单的话语bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, wash your hands, take a bath, take a shower…等,能根据拼读的规律,读出简单的单词classroom, bathroom, bedroom, living room, basketball, football…等, 能根据要求,写出简单的描述It’s my/your . It’s mine/yours。
3.情感态度:通过这几节课设置的“比赛”“游戏”……等多个环节的设计,使学生从中体验学习的快乐,从激发学习的兴趣,帮助他们树立学习英语的自信心。
4. 学习策略:通过开展任务型的活动,引导学生学会用英语表达事情,完成交际任务。

T: Let’s sing a song with these words together.
“There are seven days. There are seven days. There are seven days in a week. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday. Friday, Saturday”
设计意图:利用简短的问候,活泼自编的歌曲,激烈的抢答,为学生创造一个轻松、愉快的学英语的气氛,能够调动学生学习积极性。
T: Boys and girls, let’s have a competition. I will show you some pictures(room; bedroom; living room; kitchen; sink; toothbrush; bathroom). You must remember them quickly. Which team is fast and right, which team will get 1 point.
设计意图:老师用多媒体出示七幅图片,这七幅图片依次在屏幕上闪烁,最后掩盖住,让学生猜其中的某一个图片,谁知道谁就站起来大声说出,为小组加分。本环节既复习与本课相关的单词,以旧引新,又锻炼了学生的反应能力。
