新时期以来文学研究界标举“告别功利主义、回归文学本体”的大纛对“五四”文学革命所建构的新文学观念进行了彻底的批判,并将其视为20世纪文学功利主义文学观念的罪恶之源。这样的认识在触及问题的同时,也造成了对“五四”文学观念的误解,对其复杂性、历史性挖掘不够。其实以新青年派知识群体为核心的“五四”文学先驱在文学革命发生之时有着不同的文学观念。掌握其思想共识,同时梳理他们文学观念的差异,重新审思“五四”人性启蒙中文学观的选择与建构问题,显得尤为必要。
