作文教学不容乐观的现状,促使作者以三年级起步作文为切入点,展开研究与探索,提出了“起步作文,低空飞行”的观点,倡导作文起步要遵循学生的认知规律,目标适合、循序渐进,在兴趣、方法和能力上起步。结合自身鲜活的教学实践,提出了“从模仿摘抄开始”“从激发兴趣入手”“从方法指导入门”等教学策略,强调作文起步阶段要通过观察体验,让学生在生活中学会发现;开展读写实践,让学生在游泳中学会游泳;推动交流分享,让学生在评价中学会反思。
