虽然广州市的小学生在一年级和二年级有了一定的英语听说学习基础,但是对于认读记忆单词、理解运用词汇还是觉得相当陌生和困难。从一二年级的听说唱演,到三年级一下子面对大量的英语词汇,很多学生因为记不住、不会使用词汇导致成绩不理想,慢慢失去了学习英语的兴趣。作为小学英语教师很有必要在中年级开展词汇教学的研究,使学生在见词读音、快速有效记忆单词、理解运用词汇方面能够有所发展。
