语文美育就是借助语文教材和语文教学活动中美的因素,培养学生自觉的审美意识和高尚的审美情趣,发展学生的审美能力,并促进学生全面发展的教育。语文教学与审美教育这两种教育理论相互渗透而结合,形成了一种新的学科——语文审美教育,而语文审美教育中最具审美化的教材当属唐诗宋词。诗词具有语言美、韵律美、情感美,巧妙挖掘诗词的美育因素,利用“诗词教学的美育因素”能拓宽审美教育的途径,是培育民族审美情趣的重要起步。
