Dental alloys are becoming a hot spot in dental research and clinical applications. With the deep understanding of the interaction between dental alloys and oral tissues, higher requirements are put forward on the physical properties and biocompatibility of the alloy materials. At present, the research and development of materials that are more adaptable to the changing environment of the oral cavity are being sought. Dental alloys can corrode in harsh oral environments and cause loss of aesthetics, mechanical properties and biocompatibility. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the corrosion behavior of dental alloys and to study and select materials accordingly. This article explores the scope of dental restorative alloys, dental amalgam and dental orthodontic alloys. In recent years, scholars reviewed the current status of dental alloys corrosion behavior.
