The early 1960s, the old writer Meng Chao’s new Kunqu Opera “Li Hui Niang”, by the majority of the audience’s appreciation and the drama industry’s praise. The play from adaptation to performance, had been Kang Sheng’s support and praise. However, with the change of political climate, Kang Sheng brought a 180-degree turn, “turning a blind eye.” He actually colluded with Jiang Qing and labeled “Li Huiangiang” as “anti-party poison grass,” cruelly persecuted the author and finally caused Comrade Chao Chao to die with hate, resulting in a rare case of injustice in the literary and art circles. In this whole process, Kang Sheng plays a shameless role.
