本工作对几种陶瓷材料Vickers 硬度的压痕尺寸效应进行了研究,证实了经典的Meyer 方程可以很好地描述实验数据,但这一方程无助于对压痕尺寸效应物理本质的认识. 基于能量平衡考虑或新近发展起来的试样比例阻力(PSR) 模型得到的另一个半经验公式,只能对在一个较窄的荷载范围内测得的实验数据作出准确描述. 本文提出了一个新的半经验公式用以描述所观察到的压痕尺寸效应,并就这一新公式的物理意义进行了简要的讨论.
In this work, the effect of indentation size on the Vickers hardness of several ceramic materials has been investigated. It is proved that the classical Meyer equation can well describe the experimental data, but this equation does not help to understand the physical nature of the indentation size effect. Another semi-empirical formula based on a sample balance resistance (PSR) model considered or newly developed for energy balances can only give an accurate description of the experimental data measured over a narrower load range. In this paper, we propose a new semi-empirical formula to describe the observed indentation size effect and give a brief discussion of the physical meaning of this new formula.
