In terms of teaching methods, the current Western educational psychologists have two different views. The traditional school, such as Ausubel, advocates that classroom teaching in schools should be based on lectures. Because of listening to teachers, students can gain basic knowledge of the system economically. The other group advocates the use of discovery instead of the narrative, such as Brunner of the United States (1915-) and Piaget of Switzerland (1896-1980). Bruner proposed the discovery method in the book “The Process of Education”.
