This article attempts to clarify the categories and numbers of captains in the Zhangye Prefecture in the pre-Han era based on the scattered examples. The historical materials used in this paper, besides the traditional documents such as “Han Geographical Records”, include Juyanjian, in particular, and a few ancient official seals, sealing mud and other heavy historical materials. Particularly discussed in the Hanban materials, including two Janes unearthed from Shui Shui Wengguan ruins and two from Jianwu ruins of Xiajiaqun under the captain Yan Du, No. 214.33A. These historical materials seem to show that the former Han Dynasty Zhangye Prefecture includes a prefect of Zhangye (ie prefectures of the prefectures) in Leh County, a prefecture in Zhangye Prefecture and a prefect of Zhangye Prefecture, The two ministries of the county.
