Science may be the greatest accomplishment of mankind as a species. Thanks to the technological revolution that started in the 17th century, today's humankind is able to enjoy instant messaging, fast traffic, a rich and varied diet and effective prevention and treatment of once-deadly diseases. In addition, science is also the greatest hope for humankind to survive such threats as climate change, new pathogens, celestial meteorites and a rapidly growing population. However, the cause of science is facing the threat of both internal and external forces. The scientific community must now capitalize on its ability to self-mistake - to eliminate these threats based on new information, new discoveries, new experiences and new ideas (that is, what advances science for centuries). A major factor hindering scientific progress is the scarcity of research funding - a trend that has intensified as a result of the global economic crisis.
