据1990年统计,全国每年排放的煤泥约1000~1400万t。随着煤炭产量的增加,全国选煤厂每年排放的煤泥量将会迅速增长。为了寻求更有效的煤泥利用途径,浙江大学燃烧教研室、煤科院煤化所燃烧室、兖州矿务局兴隆庄煤矿共同承担了用煤泥直接作为动力锅炉的燃料来供热发电的35t/h煤泥沸腾燃烧锅炉试验项目,该炉是用来配6000kW汽轮发电机组的,自1989年3月26日开始施工,1990年12月21日首次并网发电,截止1991年6月30日累计发电732.397kWh,供热3.71×10~7MJ。工程投资情况,国家攻关项目投入80万元,利用上海集资700万元,兖州矿务局自筹投入200多万元,一期工程(包括二期工程共用部分)总投资为2862.66万元。
