This article briefly describes several historic activities of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in the 1950s, including the origin of the name of the institute, the first field expedition, and the personal experiences of some authors during the discovery of the Dingcun site Episode, for the history of science interested in geoscientists reference. In addition, some of the current problems encountered in research and personal opinions on these issues are also mentioned in the locations or sites of several famous paleontology (including ancient humans) in our country. These existing problems, which are “natural” in their production, can reduce duplication, make work more effective and focus on understanding the scientific problems themselves. We publish a large number of books, but the relative information is less, the progress of in-depth problem-solving can be faster.
