In order to explore the law of aging of activated alumina at room temperature, the chemistry teaching and research group of our school conducted a comparative experiment on the commercial activated alumina and the aging of the new laboratory alumina. We used aluminum chloride and a sufficient amount of dilute ammonia to react to produce AI(OH)3 precipitate. After washing the filter residue with distilled water, the fluffy white crystal AI was prepared by heating with an alcohol lamp. O.
